Carmel Layer Choco-Squares (Carmel Brownies) 14 oz pkg caramels, unwrapped 1/3 cup evaporated milk 1 pkg German Chocolate cake mix 1/2 cup margerine, softened 2 Tbsp evaporated milk 1 cup chocolate chips In medium saucepan over low heat, combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk, stirring constantly until caramels are melted. In a bowl, combine cake mix, margerine and 2 tablespoons evaporated milk. Mix well. Press half of dough into bottom of ungreased 9x13 pan, reserve remaining dough for topping. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Spread caramel mixture over top. Crumble reserved dough over caramel mixture. Return to oven and bake 15-18 minutes. Cool completely.
