Peppermint Stick Candy Ice Cream Separate 6 eggs. Scald 3 cups whole milk with 2 scant cups sugar. Pour over well beaten egg yolks. Let cool. Beat egg whites until very fine in appearance, adding 1/2 cup sugar to make right consistancy. Add 1 cup crushed peppermint candy (crushed) to egg mixture & add 6 cups thin cream (half & half) & fold in egg whites. 1 or 2 tbsp vanilla. Freeze. Makes one gallon. from Jenafer Snyder.
